A & J Stephen’s fairly small 33 property housing development of modern quality homes in the Idyllic small village of Glenfarg, Perthshire required a WWPS to overcome the 20m head to connect to the mains sewer. We were engaged to design and deliver a pumping station which would comply with Scottish Water specifications.

Scope
We designed the pumping station and assisted in getting technical approval from Scottish Water, the development required low flows but there was a sizeable difference in height from the housing development sewer to the mains sewer. We were able to find a solution to this from Scottish Water product range and produced a proposal which A & J Stephen accepted.

Our Service and Delivery
The pumping station was ordered in April 2018. Using Scottish Water framework partners, we procured and manufactured the pumping station. Once delivered the installation went very smoothly, the key to this was the excellent teamwork and communication between us and A & J Stephen. The pumping station has been operational for a while now and is about to start the Scottish Water adoption process. A big well done to all involved in the project!

“As far as the product and service are concerned I don’t have any complaints whatsoever. We think that the product is excellent, appears to be of good quality and, most importantly, seems to be working well. Also, there weren’t any difficulties with the installation of the units and your personnel went about their business with little or no fuss. I wouldn’t hesitate in using IDS for future developments and I think we’re already discussing further schemes”
