North Lochs WTW is on the island of Lewis. The plant is a dynasand FCT works serving a population of 2100 in a number of villages, with an output of 6.9 ML/D. IDS are Principal Contractor to SWS, and as such fulfill all Project Management responsibilities.

Project Scope:

_Overall project value £2.7M
_The main drivers for this project were to manage cryptosporidium, manganese, turbidity, PH and overall water quality.
_Upgrade washwater recovery system
_Upgrade disinfection control with new hypochlorite dosing and controls
_Upgrade coagulation and PH control

Services Provided:

_Project Management of all MEICA content
_Procurement of all MEICA equipment including MCC, Pumps, PLC
_Design, build, install and commissioning of interface PLC
_Electrical installation and commissioning _Operative training
_Telemetry software, installation and commissioning
